Caring, Seeking, and Sharing - In Christ

About Our Church

The First United Presbyterian Church of LeRoy is a charming 19th century church facility with the conveniences and activities for the 21st Century church family.

The origin of our church here in LeRoy is a simple one.  What began as the “Salt Creek Congregation” in the 1830’s has evolved into the dynamic church family that we have here today.  During that time this body of Christ has continually renovated, not only the existing facilities, but the programs for children and adults, believers and seekers.  To learn more about our church history, click here.  We honor and cherish that rich history and those traditions that have built this congregation.  It is that sense of respect and community that gives us the solid footing to look forward to the future to “build for those who have yet to come.”

We are a church that has been and will continue to be driven by purpose. In the Great Commission (Matt. 28:19-20) Jesus tells us what we need to do.  In the Great Commandment (Matt. 22:37-39), He tells us how to do it.  These continue to guide us as we fulfill our mission of Caring, Seeking, Sharing:  In Christ!

We are blessed to have a dedicated group of church leaders who invest a great deal of time to help the church fulfill its mission.  In addition, God has sent us committed staff that are driven by His purpose.

Each month we publish a newsletter,Salt Creek Savorings.  (This is a large Publisher file that may take a while to load.)  Here, you will find the current message from Pastor Steven, a bulletin board, some interesting and helpful information, as well as birthdays and anniversaries for the month.
